Friday at the Quincy HQ turned into a celebration of color when Aixza, Althea, and Christina all rocked bold skinny jeans with their Chelsea herringbone blazer, Kennedy peplum top, and Sophia silk blouse in polka dot, respectively. (No, they don’t call each other ahead of time to coordinate clothes, in case you were wondering.)

What do you think of the looks? Are you loving the neutral on top / color on bottom trend this spring as much as Quincy is?

Even if you work in the stuffiest of offices, there is a way to pull off the neon trend in a non-offensive way.  No one wants to have the fashion police called on them at work! So here are 2 ways you can wear this trend at the office without having a bad 80’s vibe:

  • 1st Look: Pair your neon with a soft color — it will help take the brightness of the neon down a few notches.
  • 2nd Look:  Accessorize! It’s the easiest way to wear neon. Again, we still recommend wearing soft colors but carrying a neon clutch or wearing neon jewelry will surely spice up your look without being too noticeable or loud.

Pictured in both looks, our Sofia silk blouse in peach has the perfect amount of softness to help subdue your neon. It’s such a beautifully soft color that you will not have any problems incorporating it into your closet.

Sweet Lemon Magazine, an online lifestyle magazine celebrating uniqueness, recently interviewed us about Quincy — who we are and what we do.  We love the quotes they captured from our very own, Christina & Alex

  • “Life is too short to be doing something you’re not absolutely passionate about”
    - Alex
  • If it doesn’t fit you, it doesn’t matter how trendy it is — It doesn’t look good. Fit is where we start everything as fundamental to good style” - Christina

I know, we get it. You’re too busy to get a manicure these days. Here are a couple ideas + tips to help get you through these though times. Also known as, mani’s for the workin’ gal.

Shellac Manicure:

  • Pros: The great thing about a Shellac manicure is that you don’t have to do it as often as a regular manicure.  The shine and color lasts without chipping for an entire 2 weeks! There is zero dry-time so once you leave the salon you can get right back to work without fear of smudges. This is a personal favorite of ours and recommend you try it out. Beautifully professional.
  • Cons: Limited colors.

Sally Hanson Salon Effects:

  • Pros: These are easy DIY nail polish strips. Super easy to apply, come in fun colors and patterns, and are great at resisting chips. Also, zero dry time and since these are done at home you can choose when a manicure fits into your busy schedule.
  • Cons: Even though these are made of nail polish and can be removed with regular nail polish remover the adhesive is kind of a pain to remove. Takes a little elbow grease.
We love how Jessica Alba’s pairs a black blazer with a canary yellow skirt!  Such a great example on how you can transition your workwear wardrobe into Spring & Summer. Don’t be fearful of wearing bright colors, learn how to subdue them with darker pieces.

Since we talked about the perfect coral blouse yesterday we thought we would follow up with a tip for possibly one of the best coral lip colors we found. It not only pairs nicely with our Sophia blouse but it’s a great color to wear all summer long.

It’s not too bright or too orange, so don’t worry.  We would love to go on and on about how much we love this color but we have work to do! So without further ado, we present to you Makeup Forever’s Rouge Artist Intense #39
